A recent study partially funded by Pure Action gets published in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology. “Heated Hatha Yoga to Target to Target Cortisol Reactivity to Stress and Affective Eating in Women at Risk for Obesity-Related Illnesses: A Randomized Controlled Trial” demonstrates a beneficial effect of Bikram yoga on cortisol reactivity and binge eating frequency in women. From the article: “This study provides preliminary support for the efficacy of heated hatha yoga for treating physiological stress reactivity and affective eating among women at risk for obesity-related illnesses.”

Congratulations to Dr. Lindsey Hopkins and team!
